Once you have had your spray tan it is important to remember it is developing on your skin, if you do anything to interrupt that process it will change the outcome of your tan.
Before Your First Shower:
* DO NOT rub or touch the tan
* DO NOT wear tight clothing
* DO NOT exercise or do anything that causes sweating and avoid repetitive movements
* DO NOT apply deodorants or perfumes
* DO NOT get anywhere near water until your ready to wash off
* If you tan topless its best to leave your bra off
* When ready to wash off, simply rinse off using your hands to rub until water runs clear.
You will see colour coming off from your skin..this is normal, your spray tan is not washing off, it is just bronzer.
Avoid using soap this time round until next shower if you can and make sure to pat dry.
* If you are wearing your spray tan to bed, I recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants, this will prevent the spray tan from transferring to your hands while you're sleeping

Long term after care
• DO NOT exfoliate with loufas, body scrubs, body washes or soaps with exfoliating beads until your tan starts to fade away.
• Fragrance-free body washes and soaps are RECOMMENDED.
• Limit the shaving of your legs, as this is also a form of exfoliating. You can still shave your legs, (be sure to use a fresh razor) however I do not recommend doing it daily. I do not recommend using hair removal creams, such as Nair. This will remove your spray tan!
• You can start exfoliating when you notice it is starting to fade and/or in preparation for your next tan.
• Face washes containing salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide are NOT RECOMMENDED because they can eat away at your spray tan. Your face will fade faster as you wash it more frequently. I recommend using gentle cleansers - avoid exfoliating face washes
• Acne spot treatments are also NOT RECOMMENDED during the week your spray tan is on.

• Moisturising helps extend the life of your tan and it helps your tan to fade more evenly. I recommend using a hydrating, non-scented/fragrance-free lotion or one with DHA.
• Spray tans typically last 4-8 days, however they can last longer or shorter than this. The more you moisturise, the longer the tan can last!
• Always wear sunscreen when out in the sun, especially after prolonged exposure to the sun, being in the ocean or the pool. This will protect you and help extend the life of your spray tan.
• Wait at least one day before going in the ocean or a pool after your tan. Chlorine may make your tan fade faster, however it is not going to remove the tan immediately.
